IPv6 Connectivity: No Internet Access (Fixed on Windows 11 & 10)
When Windows displays 'IPv6 Connectivity: No network access' while IPv4 works, your router or ISP is advertising IPv6 capability without a functional upstream routing path.
Actionable Resolution Steps
1. Check if Your ISP Supports Native IPv6
Visit our homepage [WhatMyIP.site](/) to see if your active connection displays an IPv6 address. If only an IPv4 address appears, your ISP does not assign public IPv6 prefixes.
2. Release and Renew IPv6 Configuration
In Windows Terminal (Admin):
ipconfig /release6
ipconfig /renew6
3. Reset Winsock and IP Routing Tables
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
Restart your computer.
4. Verify Router SLAAC & DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation
Log into your router (typically at [192.168.1.1](/ip/192-168-1-1) or [192.168.0.1](/ip/192-168-0-1)). Navigate to IPv6 settings and verify connection type is set to **DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation (IA_PD)**.
5. Disable Teredo and ISATAP Tunnel Adapters
Legacy transition tunnels can conflict with modern dual-stack networks:
netsh interface teredo set state disabled
