Actionable Resolution Steps

1. Disable Power Management on Network Card (Major Cause)

Windows frequently puts network cards to sleep to save power: 1. Press Win + X and select **Device Manager**. 2. Expand Network Adapters, right-click your Wi-Fi/Ethernet card > Properties. 3. Go to **Power Management** tab. 4. Uncheck **'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'** and click OK.

2. Update or Roll Back Network Adapter Driver

In Device Manager, right-click adapter > Update driver > Search automatically. If problem started after a Windows update, select 'Roll Back Driver'.

3. Delete Corrupted ARP Cache

Corrupted Address Resolution Protocol entries cause gateway dropouts:

netsh interface ip delete arpcache

4. Assign Gateway Statically

If DHCP keeps dropping, assign gateway manually in IPv4 adapter properties: Gateway IP: 192.168.1.1 (or your router's IP), Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0.
